How do you deal with a friend losing her moral compass?

A good friend of 5 years, who I met on EP used to be a thoughtful compassionate Conservative.

I liked her tons then and she made me more critical and rigorous about my own ideas.

Now she blames the sheep who stormed the capitol for 1/6, not Trump and the other shepherds who led them there.

Worse she has lost all interest in facts or fairness and relies on "common sense" or asserting without evidence.

I am not sure if she's lost her mind or lost her soul.

Either way It's just sad

1/6 LOL. You people want so bad for it to be your 9/11. Wait until you find out who was really behind it.

@DCarey no not really. 911 was an attack by a band of terrorists to damage our country. 1/6 wasn't attempts by American elected officials and others to stage a coup d'etat. The first was an act of violence aggression in would have been war if it's come from a state.

The second was an act of treason by people sworn to defend the Constitution and others.

There's really no comparison

@REInvNJ Treason is defined in the Constitution. You people use it very loosely. It only takes about 20 minutes to read the Constitution. I know you've never read it.
Also, find the names of the "unindicted co-conspirators." Find out who they work for. They don't tell you that stuff on CNN.

@DCarey actually treason is not defined in the Constitution although it is specified how it is to be proven.

@REInvNJ Nope. Try again. Don't come back until you get it right.
