I have seen this first hand, on a bus to Scotland from London, snow starts to fall, it gets about 1/2 inch deep on the road and all the trucks park in the middle of the highway and catch a ride back into town. We were stuck in that bus 12 hours until the highway patrol came and removed the center barrier so the bus could turn around.
