Our bodies are resilient

I always exercised. Then about 10 years ago began experiencing tingling and loss of feeling in my arms. Long story short, I had a surgical procedure on my spine. Immediate relief. To the extent that in my upper 50’s I workout like crazy. I lift weights. I get my cardio. (If I would eat better I would shed this gut...but that is next) When I exercise I have a focus and I go after it hard.

My point is you are not too old, you are not too far out of shape. It takes time and commitment. One day at a time. A marathon race has a first step required...so I am telling you, take that first step. Your body WILL respond and you WILL feel better about yourself. One day at a time.

Don't forget to stretch. Keep yourself supple

@SW-User Especially as you get older :P
I learnt that the hard way .

@JimboSaturn definitely. I'll be 56, and I'm still flexible

@SW-User Hmm flexible eh? 🤔

I am not, I have to work on that.

@JimboSaturn I should hope so. I did ballet for 16 years; junior prima by 12.
