Anyone here have experiencing with fresh piercings?

I got a few piercings yesterday and so far, my ear piercings and painless and healing nicely.

I’m concerned about my septum… particularly because it hurts to clean. I’m sure it’s due to the crust moving through the puncture whenever I move the ring around to clean because it’s rather painless once I’ve managed to clean it off.

I was told by the chick who did these for me that I was to move the rings around and clean them three times daily to prevent infection and embedding; however, I’m reading a few things online about the healing processes and it’s stating that the jewelry shouldn’t be moved around/twisted?

You don’t need to move it around when it’s very new - just soak it with hot salty water 3 times per day and wipe away any crust with a cotton bud. Easiest way to do this is fill a shot glass with hot salty water then stick your nose in it for 2 minutes. After a week you will find that you’ll be able to move it around.
