I would say hindsight? People telling me that they "loved me" and me believing them and basing all other loves on that premise. It wasn't until someone truly loved me unconditionally that made me stop and think the other people were full of nonsense. It's difficult to navigate your life when your first teachers (parents) lied and ridiculed you while wrapping it up in a pretty package of love and family.
