I got a traffic ticket - Failure to Inspect

@Ozuye502 how else do you think they make their revenue targets each month?

@justanothername in all technicalities law enforcement was never designed to be an extortion collector however gooberment has come to the realization that certain laws that have nothing to do with public safety can become profitable for them. I got a ticket for an obstructed plate pled guilty and even though I never saw the inside of a courtroom that $50 ticket turned into 200$ fine.

@justanothername i was thinking how smart it was of the town to do that to make some money lol. they pulled a ton of people over. had a little mobile inspection station. at least I got a new inspection sticker out of the deal.

@Ozuye502 i got a ticket for an obstructed plate once too. guy pulled me over for flicking cigarette ashes out the window said it was littering but gave me the other ticket instead. why do dealerships put those stupid things on if it's against the law?? stupid tickets.

@Ozuye502 ideally, yes. But when there’s a shortage of rental properties and the rental rates are sky high…

@justanothername well you have to look at why rental rates are so high. The property owner has to turn a profit. Between what is covered in the rent (mostly heat and water) but taxes play a huge role in that as well especially in places like New Jersey New York California (any liberal run state/city) where property taxes and income taxes are astonishingly high. The demand plays a little role as well but not necessarily.
