If your partner/spouse refuses to get a job, would you dump them?

Hope I don’t end up with the guy that expects me to work and he doesn’t pay rent! Fuck that!
I mean I don’t want to just break up with the guy I would just encourage him. I can’t make him. Just an example. If he’s going to be a brutal about it I would leave him.

Mine got to the point he was spending or racking up debts that he couldn’t pay and expected me to carry them. He did construction work but when he was out of work sometimes for weeks didn’t put any effort into finding temp jobs to help pay his debts. He wouldn’t pay in any quarterly taxes and expected me to file my taxes with his and for me to pay his taxes. I did it twice but told him no more & then watched him fritter his money away on various things. He blew up when I filed my taxes without adding him. That was the end of the marriage.
