I like humor. It takes the tension out of a situation and encourages good feelings among people. I never want to be around someone who never laughs.

But what's really telling is someone who laughs at their own jokes. That's a bit sad.

Oh, sometimes, sure ... But usually the key element of humor is surprise ... If you already know the punch line, there's a limit to just how much you can surprise yourself. Usually, if I laugh at myself, it's because of some silly thing I did because I was unwilling to admit I didn't know what the hell I was doing,
