@Stereoguy A lot of taxes. The oil is literally under my feet and I can see the refinery from my house.

@Stereoguy Considering a lot of the oil under my feet is going to the US at discount prices...

@Stereoguy No the crude is still at a discount. The problem is the distribution in the US has been disrupted. The refineries are not buying the crude because they can't move the finished product. Amazing what happens when a pipeline goes down.

@hippyjoe1955 how does a $1.25 a litre work out to $7.00 a gallon Canadian? There are 3.78 litres in a gallon. That would be $4.73 a gallon.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@iamonfire696 The Canadian dollar is about 70 cents US.
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
@hippyjoe1955 it’s actually around 0.83 cents.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@iamonfire696 It seems to fluctuate daily. No telling what it will be tomorrow. I used the numbers I last checked. This is SW not an academic paper.

@hippyjoe1955 okay then. Just stating what it is.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@iamonfire696 Yawn. I don't suppose you noticed I did not cite an fixed dollar amount. I said around for a reason. The dollar fluctuates all the time as does the price of gas. I haven't checked the price today. I am going on the price of the last time I filled up which is over a week ago.
