Why do some TV ads show stuffs which is impossible in real life?

Like doing stunts which a normal human can't, some ads show that the actor or actress gets instant energy after drinking glucose drinks, shows that if the person eats chips everything around gets destroyed etc. When I was a child, I used to believe those ads.

Doesn't even have to be stunts.

What about those old Folgers coffee commercials where it shows happy couple waking up to a sunny morning and everyone is happy to be out of bed?

IMPOSSIBLE!

When I wake up, my first thought is, "You mean I am not dead yet? I feel like it." Then comes my cigarette and pepsi so I can feel "normal" crappy.

But yeah, kids see crazy junk on commercials and think it is real.

I remember when I was about six, I saw a commercial for that game "candyland" and thought it was some kind of kit to make your own candy. So I begged for it and was sorely disappointed when I found out it was just a stupid board game.
