Why is someone considered spoiled if that person plays video games most of the time?

I'm a gamer myself, I don't there's anything wrong with video games, but I do think it shouldn't be your only hobby. Learn an instrument, spend time with your loved ones, learn a new language. If you have more hobbies and more connections, you grow as a person.
