Ever have homeless people approach your car?

Had a woman wandering in the middle of the road approaching cars. She came up to mine at a red light. She genuinely looked upset and was mouthing words at me. I kept my window up but I could tell she was pleading with me. I had cash on me but I was on my way to get my stuff and didn't want to lose out.

I hope she was able to get whatever she needed.

Yes. More often, they do not actually come close to the car. Sometimes, I have given them money. More often, I try not to look at them so I don't feel so guilty because I didn't.

I think of the desperation many are surely feeling, to be standing out there in the intense sun and exhaust fumes. I think about how most any of us, including me, could end up homeless and be that desperate.
