What if the United States split into 2 countries would it really be that big of a deal?

In the North they like to burn down their own cities and in the South we like to work hard and party hard come vacation in Florida anytime you like or come to Texas for the best barbecue in the world 🤠

In the south they burn crosses so not a great idea.
TheRascallyOne · 31-35, M
@KristinaM That hasn't occurred in over 50 years to my knowledge so come back when you have something more relevant to say
KristinaM · 36-40, F
@TheRascallyOne It’s a generalization just like your statement
TheRascallyOne · 31-35, M
@KristinaM O OK why don't you go tell me that when your visiting Portland or Minneapolis
KristinaM · 36-40, F
@TheRascallyOne That’s a small part of the north. It’s an over generalization designed to stir the pot.
carpediem · 61-69, M
@KristinaM In the north they burn cities and loot businesses. And this is current activity, not something from the historical past that hasn't happened during your lifetime or even decades before it. Your answer is childish. Surely you can do better than that.
KristinaM · 36-40, F
@carpediem The original question is childish. Most people in the north do not like to burn down our cities. The question was to stir up emotions. You can’t expect intelligent discussion with inflammatory statements.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@TheRascallyOne I'm in Portland pretty regularly - it's not that dramatic.
TheRascallyOne · 31-35, M
@KristinaM That's funny I never heard you deny that my statements were true
carpediem · 61-69, M
@KristinaM And decades ago most people in the south haven't burned crosses. So you decided to take what you consider to be a comment designed to be inflammatory, and inflame it?

Funny... lots of people moving out of the north into the south to escape. Seems much more like good old America in the south than the north these days. Much less racial animosity too. MUCH less. Safer too (45 shot in Chicago this past weekend).
KristinaM · 36-40, F
@TheRascallyOne Have you never learned to infer? Hop away little rabbit.
KristinaM · 36-40, F
@carpediem Just calling the bunny rabbit out.

@KristinaM Are you a time traveler from the past? Maybe 50 years ago, not in 2021.
KristinaM · 36-40, F
@SumKindaMunster Perhaps I am
KristinaM · 36-40, F
@SumKindaMunster I hate to beat a dead horse but you might want to check on the most recent cross burnings. There’s been some in 2020😬

@MarmeeMarch Thats actually a pretty funny comparison, because burning crosses is an act of intimidation and burning flags is just edgy political speech.

@KristinaM Oh yes? Actually cross burnings by members of the Klu Klux Klan? Or a hoax? Because a POC burning a cross and blaming it on white supremacists does not count.

Stuff like this doesn't count:

KristinaM · 36-40, F
@MarmeeMarch What he said⬆️
KristinaM · 36-40, F
@SumKindaMunster Yes we must not blame the poor white supremacists.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@KristinaM Not my point. Just making sure you understand the difference.

So any true cross burnings by the KKK that you are aware of then?

KristinaM · 36-40, F
@SumKindaMunster I don’t think it matters whether it was the kkk specifically. I don’t need your help understanding the difference.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@KristinaM It does actually. Having the KKK do this is a real threat, having some sad loser do it for attention is a cry for help.

One should concern/frighten you, the other should only invoke feelings of pity and annoyance.

I would assume it doesn't matter to you because you aren't really interested in discussing the issue, you just want to be praised for taking a stand on cross burnings.
KristinaM · 36-40, F
@SumKindaMunster I care very much about the issue no matter who is doing it. But this discussion is not productive.
