My whole country was called to express a vote about whether it should be legal or not, through a referendum, and in spite of all the noise made by "pro-lifers" the outcome was ultimately affirmative. Therefore, I can say I see it like the majority of the population see it, it must be a choice.
We have other issues to figure out in that regards over here, i.e. politicised doctors in the public healthcare refusing to perform it, and the fact that many of those who do tend to experience issues as a result (first of all being overburdened, people in administration and other "conscientious objectors" bullying them, and so forth).
