Lovely!

@Underconstruction: They are? Sounds like ethnicities to me. He said Native American. 馃
@Amaryllisflowers: You skipped the rest ?馃 And yes, they are nationalities.

Let me remind you that Italians are not a group of people of identical ethnic background , so that you can understand they come in all colours just like Mexicans,Colombians, Spaniards,Swiss, and yes, people from all over the world.

If you don麓t believe me, travel.
Amaryllisflowers26-30, F
@Underconstruction: No no it's not that I don't believe you. I guess if you go back far enough no one is from the country they claim so I understand what you mean.
@Amaryllisflowers: 馃憤

@Underconstruction: Mexican American is an ethnicity, not a
Nationality. Italy is part of my ethnicity, not my Nationality. I have no ties or affiliation with Italy other than my great grand father was from Italy.
My Nationality is American as this is where I was born. This is where my political ties are and my affiliation lies.
Groofydorkgerdo56-60, M
@Amaryllisflowers: I am, my people lived here since before America was America. 馃檪
Groofydorkgerdo56-60, M
@Underconstruction: She my mentioned Native American, and it's not a Nationality. Native American tie their affiliation with what ever tribe they ore from, Navajo Nation, chipawa nation, black foot nation, etc, .. that is their Nationality, all g with American.
No where do she mention Italy.
@Dorkgerdo: She didn麓t , you did.

I am Native American, Mexican American, and Italian, and Iove that it made me, me
Groofydorkgerdo56-60, M
@Underconstruction: Then why reply to her? Her focus was on Native American , not Italy.
And I did, and it's still not my Nationality, I was not born, there, I am not a citizen, I have no affiliation with Italy, so while it is a Nationality, it's not my Nationality, it's one of my ethnicities, part of my heritage.
Amaryllisflowers26-30, F
@Dorkgerdo: Reason being I understood what she meant to say. She was speaking about going back far enough where we all had the same ethnicity. It just depends on how you see it.
Groofydorkgerdo56-60, M
@Amaryllisflowers: Yeah, I understand that, but her comment was based on a misconception. She stated that Mexican, American and Italian were nationalities, not races.
In fact they can be both.
If a person wants to try and contradict some one, they shouldn't be so ignorant of the topic the topic.
Amaryllisflowers26-30, F
@Dorkgerdo: Honestly I didn't want her comment to turn your comment into a debate spectacle. I understand what you're trying to say but I chose to comment my understanding of her point and move on.
