Do you think its rude to text someone and respond back with "k" instead of "okay"?

I definitely think there is an age divide there.

There's a huge age divide. This is why I have urban dictionary downloaded on my phone. I mean I understand the meaning of "k", but some other things, I need to resort to the dictionary, and not Websters!..

@rottenrobi: my daughter is just so terse, she annoys me by text. Seriously I may be old fashioned but I still believe in polite conversation

@JimboSaturn: agreed. I tell my kids all the time, if they want something, proper grammar will get them that much closer to their goal! Call me old fashioned too.
