Why is my kid so sassy?

I gave him a granola bar and he put the wrapper on the table. I asked him where the wrapper goes and he looked at me and said on the floor and threw it down. I don't know where he got this sass from but this isn't the first time he's done stuff like this.

Been there. You tell him to put it in the garbage. If he refuses, choose a consequence, tell him what it is and give him three chances. Then stick to the consequence. Taking the granola bar away is one suggestion, but I don't know your child.
