Of course. But opting out is failing to respect and understand the science, which makes it an ignorant, lazy, and selfish choice. It's mostly based on irrational fear, much like opting out of getting flu shots or getting one's children their basic vaccinations.

@fernie2 Who are "they?" And comparing a vaccine to known harmful substances like tobacco, opioids, and asbestos is beyond stupid. You must be a very angry, unhappy person. But go ahead, be ignorant and paranoid. Whatever floats your boat.
