Why do all these "struggling" "working class" families in movies all live in huge McMansions and have nice cars and nice things?

Wheres the struggle lol? There's nothing working class or relatable about any of this.

The attitude of "High credit limit means that I have that much wealth!" is pervasive. So people pile on the debt while living outside their means just to show off.

@raysam363 Didn’t start getting so many credit card offers till the 90’s and then they were relentless. Mall stores loved to push the credit card offers especially.

@cherokeepatti I still get credit offers after my ex destroyed my rating and put me in debt. Lower limit, but still a limit. They're banking on me maxing them out to get that sweet, sweet interest.

@raysam363 I’ve got maybe 3 offers in the mail in the past few years. I would get about that many every week in the mail before the Obama years.
