Lots of the battery-operated items are energy hogs.

I have noticed several "Made in China" battery-powered items are horrible at battery use--little LED flashlights, battery-operated cat toys, ... I wonder if they have energy drains even when off or are just otherwise poorly engineered.

I bought one I did not like how it felt. And ya batteries were dead fairly quick.
