Sometimes the simple things are always the best!

It’s 1:45p here and this afternoon is absolutely gorgeous. It’s in the high sixties and so Spring like. Even the sunlight and air. I was close to my house and made a very simple lunch of Albacore tuna with mayo, s&p on untoasted potato bread with cream of chicken soup. I was so reminded of a comfort lunch by my beautiful Mother. It really was a deja vu experience. I could literally see her there, preparing everything. I could feel her and wanted to speak to her.

Like a great grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup, I truly love the simple things and pleasures of life. I would not have traded this experience for a hundred dollar lunch, today. I’m so grateful and at peace.😊🌷

It’s 70 degrees here now and I’ve cleaned my car windows, the birds are singing & chirping out in the sun room and the heater hasn’t come on one single time since I woke up this morning.

I love it when we have a perfect day that reminds us of someone we love and feel peaceful about it.
@cherokeepatti the birds are singing because you cleaned their toilet 😜

@Oster1 Your post reminded me that I need to make potato bread for the boy. I used to make it sometimes when I could eat wheat, I think he will love it.

@Oster1 I used to make it and one day decided to add some grated lemon peel, it was so good....I sliced & buttered it and toasted in the oven broiler and would have it for breakfast.
