You don't have to be any nationality to have a leftist mindset. Everyone is primarily collectivist or individualist. It's like yen and yang. There has to be a balance of some sort, but when a person is predominantly collectivist or predominantly individualist you have abnormal behavior.

@lisasama: I'm not racist or sexist, and the very best friends I have are staunch liberals. I just happen to lean conservative along the same lines as the president elect. I believe in diversity and equal rights and pay for women, I believe in gay rights, I believe in a woman's right to choose an abortion under most circumstances, excluding partial birth or late term, I believe in freedom of religion, I even believe in social safety net programs. I just draw a solid line between tolerance and stupidity, and I am honest about the prejudices that I 'do' have.
