I think we can all agree that politics are ruining everyday life.

The problem we all have with abortion is that we don't like the idea of people going out and being hoes and just aborting the child on our dime.

I think we can all agree that a cop beating a black guy to death for being black is a bad thing. We can also agree that if we had no police that would be bad too.

No one hates people for being gay. We hate people for being obnoxiously open about their sexuality just as we hate those who obnoxiously worship their "honor roll student".

We can all agree that politicians suck and unless you have a lot of money, you don't have any real power at all. We can all agree that no matter what culture/race you are or what your belief system is, if you can't make fun of yourself you are a turd.

Most of this is horseshit. Most people hate the idea of people using abortion as birth control, but there's really no evidence that that's even 1% of cases and the statistically best way to address excess abortions is economic support programs & sex ed. Abortion is way too expensive and invasive for a rational person to choose it over the pill, condoms, vasectomies, etc. Besides, pro-lifers don't target just the "birth control abortions"; they target either most or all abortions.

The issue with the cops killing black people is mostly about lax use of force standards, unconscious bias, and (whether anyone wants to admit it), higher crime rates among black people caused by rampant poverty. The relatively few (ridiculous) people who want to abolish the police only got to that point thanks to our corrupt political establishment and diseased culture eschewing almost all substantive reform and accountability. As far as I'm concerned, "abolish the police" is really just a show of societal frustration.

Having grown up Catholic in a conservative area, lots of people, unfortunately, hate others for being gay or at the very least, hate homosexuality. It's an unfortunate fact of life that we must contend with and counter. The fact that gay marriage was only legalized nationally in 2015 is a testament to how backwards our country has been on this issue.

And yeah, we mostly agree that politicians suck, but we can't agree about why that is, which ruins any advantages that consensus might've given us. It's like a flat-Earther & a round-Earther agreeing that the geocentrist model is dumb. Like great job, but unless we agree on how to fix it, that ain't doin' shit.
