Have you ever driven from one end of the Blueridge Parkway to the other?

I think that would be fun. I got caught in a snowstorm once on it and had to get off and take a different route.

It's a beautiful area. I write about the mountains often. Several stretches are extremely boring, but I do recommend the stops along the way too. It turns into Skyline Dr, a paid entrance into NC. It's better managed, imo.

@Striker I live in Richmond, VA and the parents live out in the Shenandoah Valley. I lived in Asheville, NC for about 8 years previously. The car I've driven the BRP with the most was a 90' RX7, loads of fun.
