@Londonn so there's this never ending supply of 60+ year old people? With all the people in that age range that have already died, it should be a minimal effort task to get the remaining vaccinated.
I'm telling you that things won't change just because that age group is vaccinated.

@Londonn my roommate is a nurse on the covid floor at the hospital. The problem is they've been at capacity of over most of the last year. It's not the 60+ group filling those beds. That strain on the medical system is what needs to be brought under control.

@SooperSarah yeah that is EXACTLY what I am saying! 60+ are dying but everybody is getting the virus and even hospitilize. BUT as soon as death rate stops (because 60+ will be vaccinated and 95% of deaths are 60+), governments will end lockdowns.. because lockdowns are here because people are dying right? lockdowns are not here because people are tested positive. so when the lockdowns end, virus will saturate everywhere, and you and me will have to face the virus until we get our vaccine.

@Londonn lockdowns are here because the medical system is stressed to capacity by people, mostly not 60+, getting sick and needing care. Things won't let up until a certain percentage of the population is vaccinated, probably 75%, to achieve an adequate level of herd immunity.

When 60+ are vaccinated, deaths will stop and lockdowns will end. Because who cares people got the virus as long as they don't die, nobody can push governments to keep the lockdowns, the whole business and economy is waiting for it impatiently.
