Wouldn’t have got there in the first place

BananaBrown · 41-45, F
I would try to adapt, but if the crowd and I are too far apart in personal values or beliefs, I would exit.
ozgirl512 · 31-35, F
@BananaBrown bottom line, you know when you're enjoying yourself!
BananaBrown · 41-45, F
Yes!😊@ozgirl512
ozgirl512 · 31-35, F
@BananaBrown and I don't care if it is the UN, I'm out of here! 😝
Viper · M
Depends on the end goal... like what are we getting out of it.

In college I transferred and felt out of place, but the end goal was learning and graduating, so I tried to fit in and get though it and get to the next step. Sometimes you just have to get to the next step of the process.

Other times, when I felt like the end goal wasn't worth it, or was too far away, or too different from what I wanted, I would leave.
I don't much care for being in crowds. I suppose I pretty much always exit.
QueenandCrown · 41-45, F
If it's not my type of gathering I usually find someone who looks unsociable and go talk to them..
JohnOinger · 41-45, M
@SW-User Someday we will meet inperson at my California Mansion
SW-User
@JohnOinger some day we will.
SW-User
@JohnOinger and ride your Lamborghini
SW-User
If I have to stay for whatever reason I'll just smile politely and think about more interesting things while I'm there and it ends. But if I have the opportunity to leave I would leave. Cause there are probably better things to do.
SW-User
Ah be like a tree an leaf
summersong · F
Exit. I don’t like crowds on a good day
SW-User
I ve had anxiety around people unfortunately most of my teen life so I usually used to wish the event would end faster and I could just go home lol
SW-User
@SW-User ya you could call it discomfort. Whats the difference 🥺
SW-User
@SW-User anxiety is a fair bit heavier than general discomfort. At least to me.
SW-User
Oh I thought it was the same thing 🤔@SW-User
Maybe I'm making this too complicated but define "out of place".
@SW-User I would probe them to see if they can handle someone who's different, and if not, I would exit.
SW-User
@SinlessOnslaught how would you probe?
@SW-User Just watch their reactions to things I do and say. I've studied nonverbal communication since I was 12 so I'm pretty perceptive about that.
I rarely feel out of place in a crowd. I tend to fit into most situations.
SW-User
@CereBellum ah. I often wonder how some people do this.
@SW-User It does take time, but if you don’t like being introverted—change it. Now, very few things bother me. Blessing for sure.
lost213 · 46-50, M
I must be there for a reason so I just be myself and go about my business. Cause the others to feel uncomfortable.
SW-User
@lost213 Lol thats a nice perspective.
EuphoricTurtle · 41-45, M
Even if I felt comfortable in a crowd I would probably find an excuse to leave and be by myself.
ozgirl512 · 31-35, F
Depends, sometimes you just have to be there, other times an unobtrusive exit is definitely on the cards
Deadish · 31-35, M
I tend to stay on the outside and observe (I’m not a serial killer), so I suppose exit.
SW-User
@Deadish it would not have if you had not mentioned it.
Deadish · 31-35, M
@SW-User ya kind of figured. Where would it have gone if I hadn’t?
SW-User
@Deadish just someone who is looking in from the outside. Witness rather than a part of it.
Nah let’s make the rest uncomfortable 😃
SW-User
@Teggy I want that confidence in me.
@SW-User it there somewhere I promise! 😃
SW-User
@Teggy I know. I'm digging it out, slowly but surely.
It depends on why I would be there. A hasty exit if it’s something mundane like a birthday
Care to share about yourself.
SW-User
@sspec I'd exit.
@SW-User Why?
SW-User
I'd probably leave. I often do even when I do fit in.
Latter. No energy to waste.
SW-User
I don’t fit in anywhere and I’m ok with that
wackidywack · 26-30
exit, asap 😐
SW-User
@wackidywack That straight face made me lol.
wackidywack · 26-30
@SW-User I'm a hoot 😌
SW-User
@wackidywack I believe you are
nedkelly · 61-69, M
Just leave, not worth the effort
theAlchemist · 56-60, M
JohnOinger · 41-45, M
Try to fit in
I'd do what i can do so easily in a crowd -.create my own little bubble of isolation .

Crowds are one of those things that can make one feel even more alone.

So,I go with it.

Unless of course a panic attack starts and then I'm,kinda like a crazed goat and zig zag my way outta tjere.
SW-User
@OogieBoogie aww 🤗
SW-User
SW-User
I tried to exist and when I couldn't, I built a cocoon and hide in it for as long as it takes
Atlotto · M
I would you try to fit in until the food and beer runs out.
SW-User
@Atlotto 😂
AllAboutLaffs · 80-89, M
Feeling uncomfortable in a crowd just sucks .... exit at my first opportunity.
