Very occasionally Answers, which is a Q&A knowledge-exchange site, and a branch of Wikipedia.

Special-interest sites dedicated to my hobbies, and club web-sites / round-robins. In the present situation this is the only way many voluntary clubs and societies can hold together while their activities stay suspended and club-rooms locked.

NB. I give every account its own pseudonym and password. I think some people use the same across sites, but that is poor practice.

I have never posted anything on YouTube and have neither the means nor knowledge anyway; but I have sometimes watched technical videos on it. However, I find Google now places a massive barrier in its own and YouTube's way and I have better things to do in life than bend to Google's will. (Isn't YouTube now a Google brand anyway?)

Facebook? Twitter? Instagram? Snapchat? Whatsapp? Writing blogs?

Certainly not!

They are not essential for keeping in touch with relatives and friends, as some people seem to think; and maintaining such contact without FB and its ilk is very easy. The difficulty is not the medium of contact but the will to make contact, and no amount of fancy electronics will compensate for poor will-power.

AS I typed that I heard a speaker on the radio admitting coming off Twitter was harder than giving up smoking and alcohol; but he now feels far better for having done so!
