It's fine if you need time to wind down but it's not fair to get upset if he isn't responding back to you right away if you don't do the same, regardless of the reason. It doesn't feel good when you think someone you care for is blowing you off.

You could just give him a head's up that you're not ignoring him, you just need to wind down after work so you don't take your attitude out on him. Communication is key.

Just be nice and tell him that. I bug my girlfriend sometimes too not meaning to.
