They keep comparing things to when they were kids, not understanding how different the world is now. Many young people have been in a recession their entire life. It's objectively harder now than it was before, but some people either don't understand that or are unwilling to even examine the situation to find out. They just assume it's the same.

The increasing price of housing that's growing disproportionately to wages is a huge issue in many places. Where i live most people can't afford to rent their own place anymore unless they have a really well paying job. They either have to share with someone else or stay in the family home. Many rush into relationships or stay in bad ones just to pay the rent.

@SW-User yep.

It's really hard to convince people over 40 that people under 40 don't think anything good will ever happen again.

@CountScrofula When i was a kid life felt tough but there was a lot of opportunities and hope for the future that i don't see younger people (or even me now) experiencing now.

Tbh the way the world is going, we're fucked. It was hard to get decent work here pre covid, now it's a damn nightmare 😂 guess I'll be robbing banks in a few years
