I accepted a second job over the weekend and started today, it was just hideous! My first job when I was 14 was as waitress since then I have had 2 other jobs in the hospitality industry, they were cleaning hotel rooms, the first one was when I was about 20, the work was hard but the managers of the motel were lovely, understanding and put no pressure on staff about time, they just wanted the rooms to be nice and clean. My next job cleaning motel rooms was 5 years ago, it was awful I was fired after my second shift for not doing it fast enough, the manager watched me the entire time!
But today was something else! I was told off 7 times in the first hour an a half, ordered to pick up the handle of a hot frying pan! The position is a receptionist but I must be trained so I can also cook breakfast in their restaurant, waitress, clean hotel rooms, wash the linen and hang it on the line and do reception and office work *edit just remembered they also want me to cook diners 2 nights a week and stay there when they want to go on holidays!
I'm really not sure what to say to her, I know I shouldn't say what I'm thinking in my head!
