What is more important to you here, a sense of anonymity or being acceptable to those worried about anonymous people contacting them?

For me, initial anonymity is important here. If I ever make a connection or friendship with someone I feel I can trust then I would have the choice to disclose those aspects of my identity I'm willing to reveal.
