fresh ingredients, although I do use some processed items such as cheese, tomato sauce, etc. When I make soups at home I use fresh tomatoes, as much fresh veggies as possible.

Granted I was thinking more as in some that live out of their freezers..

@Primnproper: Oh like main dishes and all of that. I use some but not many, most of those cause me some terrible indigestion. I have found one brand of frozen Indian foods that is good and doesn't do that.

@cherokeepatti: yes frozen has become popular for the faster living lifestyles..

@Primnproper: there are people who have time to cook but they won't do it, when I worked in Walmart people would tell me about family members who stayed home to raise their kids and they would spend about 3 times more than they needed to because they didn't want to make anything homemade.

@cherokeepatti: I used to love preparing the evening family meal where we would all sit round and discuss our days..it was important to me that my kids learnt to prepare and cook healthy meals so they didn't live on take aways and frozen foods..we even pureed all the babies food from fresh ingredients instead of shop jars..

@Primnproper: When I was young I had a large garden and we ate out of that all summer long plus I canned, pickled and froze a great deal of what we couldn't eat. I made cakes, breads, cookies, and other baked items from scratch...I did buy canned soups for lunch for convenience but gave those up about 15 years ago because of the MSG.

@cherokeepatti: I know the world has changed a lot, people are living at a faster pace and seem to have less time to prepare the healthy meals now..

@Primnproper: But they have plenty of time for Smart Phones and the internet, just sayin'....
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@cherokeepatti: oh yes I agree..

@Primnproper: think it's just a matter of priorities...I'd rather have scrambled eggs or a homemade sandwich for dinner than something from McDonald's if I'm in a hurry.

@cherokeepatti: absolutely..
