Did Disney buy Fox?

I heard that Disney bought the Fox network. Does anyone know anything about this?

Fox News was spun off in the Disney merger. Disney wanted the entertainment properties, not the news business as it owns ABC.

@Stereoguy It's a separate corporation that's controlled by Rupert Murdoch.

@Stereoguy He's an Australian-American media mogul who owns many newspapers and television outlets in the UK, US, and Australia/NZ. He owns News Corp, which also owns Harper Collins, and he used to own Sky, until he sold that to Comcast.

@Stereoguy He has tended to be conservative, which was one of the criticisms of Fox and the New York Post.

@Stereoguy Something is going on because there was a shake up at the New York Post too, and one of their editors is leaving. It appears as though editorial control is criticizing Trump more since the election, and the Murdochs allow their operations to work independently of their own beliefs. He was a large investor in Theranos, and Elizabeth Holems appealed to him to kill the Journal story that broke the fraud she was perpetrating, and Rupert Murdoch told this reporters/editors to run the story if they believed it to be true, his investment to be damned.

@Stereoguy He tends to hire people with whom he can work and let them run his outlets.
