It is to absorb the cool rays of the moon, or the water element and to give purity of thought and mind.I am a scorpio ascendant, so I have excess of Martian energy which is masculine in nature.This is to balance it.

@littlepuppywantanewlife Yes, as per Vedic philosophy, the pearl is representative of the moon or water element. Pearls are refined under water, its not an under earth mineral.Moon is representative of the same principle of being reflective of the suns light .It brings or absorbs the watery element along with it, also because of it being a reflective energy, it is supposed to work on your subconscious mind or inner mind, to clear it of negative thoughts, which are the thought we later manifest in the active mind.So, if used consciously, it is said to bring prosperity, because for anything to grow, you need clean water and wetness.But its not for everyone.For me, due to scorpio ascendant, the masculine side is supposedly overdeveloped as mars is the ruler of scorpio and the feminine side is underdeveloped.So, for my ascendant it is supposed to be good and it brings a feminine balance. It sounds like pseudoscience, but I beleive in all this.
@jhontomreturns1 Oh so you believe in astrology? It's like wear different stones for different purposes? I am Sagittarius and I really have no clue about how astrology, Vedas or planets work for me. All I believe is that elements in our body needs to be in balance which comes from good diet, exercises, meditation and few other deeds.
Interestingly you can tell me what if the pearl doesn't bring you any female in your life? Will you rely on the pearl to meet the love of your life?
@littlepuppywantanewlife Pearl is not to bring females in my life.It is to bring feminine balance in my own self.For Sag ascendant Sun is the lord of the 9th house , so Ruby is best.Pure Ruby (NOT FAKE). You will most likely be duped if you dont know how to look at Fakes from real. Also, your ascendant should be SAG as per Vedic Lahiri Ayanamsha Chart, Not Western. My suggestion of Ruby for you is based on that (Again Vedic Lahiri Ayanamsha Chart), your ascendant needs to be SAG on that.
