Do animals know why they are living ?

Philosophically speaking, animals are sensitive soul. If you deeply connect with them you will learn that their behavior are their language, aside from the sounds that they create. They have their own nature and purpose in this earthly life. It may not be the same for humans since we are gifted with intellect and will.
Spiritually speaking, I appreciate the spiritual purpose of animals. Like the mystery of saving their master's life inexchange of theirs.
