How i,m testing gemstones to confirm if its authentic or synthetic.

Well, I already have the certificate and some visual inspections done. But this is a simple test to further confirm, just for my own peace of mind that noo one has ripped me off.By tomorrow morning if someone has used synthetic adhesives to manipulate the fractures inside the stone, then the veins will all turn white as a reaction as a result of reaction to any acidic content, pure stone like Ruby will not react to light acidic content. If its cut out of a single piece with noo treatment, then the cerificate and visual confirmation will confirm authenticity. If nothing turns white, then tomorrow I will take it for hardness testing. If the hardness matches ruby. Then I will be 100% sure, then I will give it for ring making.

Cool. Where'd you get the ruby (if it is one)?

@SW-User Amazon India.I think you can order it from the US as well. Go for ones certified by the Gemological Laboratory of India. Here is the clear pictures of the Ruby.
