friendly warning...DIY ESTATE PLANNING A HORRIBLE IDEA!!!

last month a close family member died in emergency room, days after major surgery and being released to a rehab facility. My inheritance included the following out of a multi million dollar estate.
1. heating pad
2. 1 roll paper towels
3. 1 roll toilet paper
THAT IS ALL...NOTHING ELSE
she was totally single with no dependents.
being very bullheaded and tightfisted with money she decided to write her own will and just leave a draft on her laptop after attending a seminar on estate planning.
somehow she got the idea of creating a trust fund also on her own without professional help
in order to save a few hundred dollars; this millionaire has created a disaster that will take years to untangle. and whatever money is not spent by attorneys will go to someone unknown
A TRUST FUND OVERRIDES ALL INSTRUCTIONS IN A WILL
if had been a legal document accepted by probate process and a judge,
the trust fund makes the will totally worthless!!!
please make sure this does not happen to loved ones you leave behind

My aunt & uncle allowed my sister, who had an accounting degree but had been hospitalized several times for mental breakdowns, to be the executor of their will. Imagine how badly that turned out, will you? I expected nothing and was not disappointed.
