I think I have a dentist fetish.

When i go to the dentist, I like the Lady doctors and men aswell clean my teeth and massage my gums and all that.I like the idea of people working on my body to clean it up and heal it, its already clean, but I like cleaner!. Also, i,m very interested in deep massages.

It might be a fetish or it might be you just like being pampered.

I go to the dentist every 6 months for a cleaning and check up. I enjoy getting my teeth cleaned. It's very relaxing and like a spa treatment for me. I wouldn't call it a fetish though.

@SW-User I'm a last year student but as part of my education I practice in university, well not right now because you know...pandemic but yeah.

@DrSunnyTheSkeptic Cool. The successful practices always play music and find ways to relax their patients. Growing up, I had a dentist that used to place funny things on the ceiling so when you had to open your mouth and were forced to look up, you chuckled. Laughing and music are both ways to help people relax. So, when you set up your practice, look to do things that are considered soothing, tranquil, and fun. It will help you with the tense patients. For kids, it helps them learn how to be good patients. My childhood dentist also gave us little collectible toys for being good in the office. Small little things that didn't cost much. Kids respond well to rewards.

@SW-User Oh yes, in pediatric dentistry we always do something for the smallest kids, with small toys or even glove balloons with faces drawn on them, you get creative with the materials there, it's an art to learn how to deal with child patients as they can get upset very easily and compromise the treatment from then on.

Saying you have a dentist fetish makes it sound like you blow a load in your pants every time the dentist gets the drill.

@Laughoften Pretty normal, the smell of disinfectants, the sight of tools and doodats can make a person weary

@DrSunnyTheSkeptic the drill sounds in the background..horrible

@Laughoften Yep, turbine drills are what drive most nervous patients mad.
