Hmmm, I wonder why the mass migrations out of California in the last few years? Could it be because of the highest taxes, highest fuel prices, highest housing costs? And the state is still broke.

@jackson55 How can they be broke when most houses pay $500 in real-estate taxes a month and there are 40 million people living in California? No don't believe it!

@Stereoguy Yeah, ill bet I know who said that. And that may have been true a few years ago. People and business are leaving the state in numbers because of the cost to do business there and the cost of housing. The chickens will come home to roost sooner or later and the people with money will get tired of picking up the tab.

@Carazaa And now there’s a ballot initiative to get rid of prop 13 which will raise property taxes on home’s and business. And more will leave.
