Could America afford to give up California?

I would think that some parts of the state would like that while others be very against that. If they could sort that part out so that everyone is happy I'd be fine with that.

@acpguy I've come to believe that a large part of the US, including a very large part of Washington DC, is now a part of China.

Like: How much of our next stimulus checks will be used to buy something that's made in China?

They're already Cultural Marxist bosom buddies anyway. I see many red flags unfurling down this slippery slope they call a future real soon.

@Heartlander As long as China is outlawing Christian churches God will not bless them with all their civil rights violations. Don't invest in china if you want to eat breakfast.

It's the way communism works. The central committee of the communist party decides everything about you: they pick the churches and god that you are allowed to follow. If they do allow a church to function they pick the ministers. They decide how many children that you may have, or not have. Anything they don't have control over is seen as a possible threat to their authority.

Extending China "most favored nation" status was like hiring Al Capone as a bank's security guard.
