Who will you give preference to? Young just out of college guy or an experienced fellow to be a part of your company? And why?

They both have benefits; the younger person is hopefully career minded, and sees himself staying with my business. He is also hopefully more willing to be open to learning company operations in the way my company handles it.
The older, experienced worker has the benefit of not only his experience, but also, hopefully, a good work ethic, which is important to keep business running.
The decision would be made by the interview process, and their respective reference checks.

Young people are usually fickle in nature. They won't see themselves staying in the same business for very long unless they are given better perks with time. Then there is a cost of training them for the company as well. Am I wrong?

@littlewonder1990: no, you're not wrong, but if I had a business, I would be open to hiring employees based on capabilities, and not age. To do so could be taken as discrimination, and that amounts to company losses due to lawsuits. There's really no black, or white; in the end, who will help your business make the most profit? That is what businesses truly use to decide, profit versus loss.

@ZenLioness719: Yeah that makes sense.
