How many people can someone sleep with before you secretly judge them for their “number”?

I had a girlfriend ask me how many women I'd been with. This was 35 years ago and I think the answer was 17. I asked her how many men she had been with and she said she had lost count, somewhere between 100 and 200.

@MartinTheFirst: I didn't at first, either. She said in college she used to go to the foreign students tea every Friday and pick up a desperate dude, most from the Middle East and Africa. I don't think she ever said no to anyone, even when we were living together.

@Paleandpolluted86: Before your time, Pale, but no one used protection back then. No fatal STDs and syphilis and gonorrhea were about to become obsolete. The only people who used "rubbers" were sailors on shore leave in Manila or San Diego. I didn't have any problems.
