Looks horrifying. Is it one of Stephen King's competitors?

@greenmountaingal: no it wasn't horrifying. I wish it was. It was like a Disney movie pretty much 🙄

@CityHigh12: Wow. I must be showing my age.
But...a novel about a kidnapped woman attempting escape from snuff film sadists...with a cover showing the bloody severed finger of a restrained victim...
WHAT is Disney making these days anyway...?!

@greenmountaingal: lol! It only sounds bad! There is absolutely no description of what happens to her or the other victims in the book. You have to use your imagination. I prefer the author to go into gory detail.

@CityHigh12: Usually, leaving some of it to a reader's imagination increases the horror since what we imagine are our own worst fears and visions. That's why radio drama when I was a kid listening to programs like Inner Sanctum was so much scarier than TV could ever be. For example, listen to the old radio classic, Sorry, Wrong Number.
By the way, the reviews I read on Amazon warned people that it was so horrifying that even Stephen King fans couldn't handle Survivor
I am a Stephen King fan.

@greenmountaingal: I have a terrifying imagination, but I'm used to it. I wanted something worse from a book. Reading the reviews made me think I had finally found a book worse than my nightmares. Total let down 😞
