I don't know that, but what I know is that children can still grow up in poverty and if he has you, you will get through it together. I understand it's hard times and I speak from a safe distance, but at least if you end up doing it, you should choose very carefully who you'll give him to and if it's really worth it in the end. If you can provide the basics and if you love him, that's enough. And in the future you might get a chance and get out of poverty and then your feelings will be very complicated. I hope both of you will be okay!

@HannibalAteMeOut He legit only has me as his family. I can at least give a place to live and food. He is cared about but I'd love to give him more and better

@seashells you are enough, believe me. Many children don't even have the basics but they still wouldn't want to leave their mothers' arms. If you can provide those for now, you will be able to provide more in the future. You will work hard and he'll admire and appreciate you in the future. Don't give up on your family, money comes and goes. Your love will be enough.
