1984 New York City Subway shooting, Bernhard Goetz, people didn't care about race

Netflix has a program that follows this case. Bernhard is white. He shot 4 black youths who were known for attacking folks on the subway. What's amazing about the whole thing is you'll find many black people and black organizations standing up for Bernhard. It's crazy to think that in the 80s in NY city people were less racist than they are today. They didn't care about what your skin color was. They cared if you were a jerk to society or not.
