What do you think of therapists?

Good thing? Bad thing? I always think they lose business if their patients get well. And also that so much is merely subjective. My mentor was a PHD MFT, and she said many people go into that field to fix themselves.

I've read your comments here and I have a therapist who specializes in what you're looking for. It took me a while to find her. You're right that most therapists are only trained in helping otherwise healthy people and do not understand the complexities of the terminally ill. However, they are out there and I sincerely hope you find one. 馃

@SwampFlower Thank you. So far, no luck. And MD's don't help because they can't see a broader picture (such as avoiding medications that worsen us), or not sending us to a nutritionist, not giving us oxygen (which I finally got), not offering B-12 injections which are known to help, withholding anti anxiety meds (for fear we might get addicted on the way to our deaths)... so many failures.
