@Serenitree: unfortunately I sleep through it a lot even when it's on loud. I even have a tendency to sleep through alarms :(

@Adelh91: wow. I wish I could. If I don't want to be woken, I have to shut everything down. Alarms, ringing phones, knocking on the door, sirens outside, even air brakes wake me up.
