If only they took the equality of black lives seriously they would still have their businesses. Let’s pray Trump sees sense despite his insensitivities to human suffering 🙏

He does seem intent on avoiding talking about the cause of the original protest and pouring fuel on the flame of discontent. Not one conciliatory word...not one. 😔 Violence can be condemned and the cause acknowledged without causing further division. But perhaps that doesn't suit his tactics.

@JovialPlutonian Interestingly, you may have heard some commentators suggest that the Republican Party has been taken over by/sold itself to Trump and that he doesn't actually stand for the traditional values of that party. He has turned the whole thing into a personality cult. I don't know enough about the history to be sure but he does turn everything back to himself as we know.
