It’s unfortunate to see all the destruction created in Portland

If only they took the equality of black lives seriously they would still have their businesses. Let’s pray Trump sees sense despite his insensitivities to human suffering 🙏

..............Not sure if bait or mental relapse. ┬┴┬┴┤•ᴥ •ʔ

@bearinthehalfwayhouse well if you want the solution, because repression never works, it just makes them come back worse. It explains why ppl are unnecessarily dying, it gets blown out of proportion because nothing is done to rectify the problem, hence people lose control of themselves.

@JovialPlutonian Dawg, let's not fool ourselves here. It's not about ol' whitey keeping the black man down anymore, it's retards looking for an excuse to vandalise. The whole idea of blm seems to have vanished at this juncture.
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@bearinthehalfwayhouse and lets no pretend that when protesting to keep you life safe from the very people that are supposed to keep you safe isn’t honoured then what do you really expect? If you don’t want to listen to their pleas then everything gets ramped up.
What you resist persists, what you let go of disappears! 🤷🏻‍♂️

@bearinthehalfwayhouse Your analysis is oversimplified, the majority of protestors are there for the original cause and aren't causing damage. Then, if you selectively focus only on those who do, it's no longer an objective point of view.

@JovialPlutonian That's the issue, these "protests" are stupid and only make the populace thought of "black boi bad" seem more justified the more they do this shit, ironically enough it's mainly white people that are doing it but I digress. I don't see how burning down a business or annoying people is gonna make a difference for the better unless it's set towards the people that are instigating the issue in the first place. All I see coming out of this from both sides is "they ain't listening, lets do worse." and "Hoooo we were right about those black people, arrest 'em aaaaaaall!!"

@Elessar That's where it gets lost in translation. There's like 5 different avenues on this topic and getting dragged back and forth between them seems to be a losing battle for all sides. My point is, the protests are big dumb dumb for how they played out, the idea is fine, if only poorly directed.

@Elessar but they’re would think that, if it’s not their community then they’re detached, it’s no different with nationalism which quickly turns into fascism 🤷🏻‍♂️

@bearinthehalfwayhouse Large scale protests work like this, like it or not. Yellow Vests (anti-establishment protests dear to populists) in France/Europe where the same, in similar proportions a part of them were there only for ravaging and destroying Paris, but you won't find a single conservative anywhere in the world complaining about it or saying they were ridiculous. Guess why. Cognitive bias?
bearinthehalfwayhouse · 26-30, M
@Elessar Eh, fair enough I guess. I suppose that is what it all just comes down to. I wanna go back to banging rocks and eating berries.

@bearinthehalfwayhouse It's difficult to have a neutral/objective point of view in these situations. In America itself and in this very same year, the ones who are now complaining about "BLM causing destruction" had no problems at all with (or even encouraged) occupying govt. buildings, halting roads and even ambulances in some state(s), in order to protest the Coronavirus lockdown.

Even there, cognitive bias, they have a problem with the former but none with the latter.
