Correct my music theory if wrong.

I,m on the scale of F, so for the chord progressions, I only have two chords chosen, one in the C Chord and the B Flat Chord, both considered as minor chord triads. Will this be harmonically ok.

Yes, for a very simple song it might suffice but it does not have color.
Try the following progression:
F , F7+, Dm, Am, Bb, C7; F

@helenS Helen but in this scale, isint it supposed to be that 1, 3, 5 are Major,Fmaj,AMaj,CMaj. So, how did you suggest, Am?.Or is my understanding wrong.

@johntomSWPhd Am is the so-called minor parallel of F, the corresponding minor chord. Parallel minor chords will make a chord progression much more colorful and interesting.

@helenS hey thanks for this once again, borrowed chords right!, now my theory is improving, because I built both the scales minor and major and now get how the minor parallel factors in.

@johntomSWPhd The following chords will get you through most popular tunes, given that C major is the key:
C, F, G;
Am, Dm, Em.

Many pop songs contain additional chords, to add color, such as
Bb, Ab. (These contain notes that are not a part of C major)

I would recommend that you choose a melodic pop song (Beatles for example) and try to analyse the harmonic structure. Do not try more sophisticated songs (like those that are part of the American Songbook).

Try to find the chord progression of things like "Let It Be", or "Yesterday". Don't look them up, find them yourself!
